The Behavioural Public Policy Lab in the School for Government at King’s College London and the Department of Economics at the University of Warwick are pleased to announce the inaugural Behavioural Environmental Economics and Policy (BEEP) Workshop 2026, which will take place on 10–11 September 2026 at King’s College London. The event is co-sponsored by the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management (JEEM) and is supported by EAERE.

The Workshop

Behavioural Environmental Economics and Policy (BEEP) is an emerging field that applies insights from behavioural economics and the broader behavioural sciences to understand environmental decision-making and improve environmental policy design. The workshop aims to bring together researchers working at the intersection of behavioural economics, environmental economics, and public policy to discuss innovative theoretical, empirical, and policy-oriented research.

The event forms part of a broader initiative to consolidate and expand the BEEP research community through workshops, publications, and collaborative research activities. It seeks to foster interdisciplinary exchange and strengthen the role of behavioural insights in addressing major environmental challenges, including climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution.
