The Department of Economics, Society and Politics at the University of Urbino Carlo Bo, in collaboration with the Department of Environmental Science and Policy at the University of Milan, the Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI), Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM), and SEEDS, is pleased to announce the 3rd Early Career Workshop on Applied Environmental and Climate Change Economics. The workshop will take place on 8-9 October 2026 at the University of Urbino Carlo Bo in Urbino, Italy. The event is supported by EAERE.

The Workshop

The workshop is designed for early-career researchers working in the field of environmental and climate change economics, with a particular focus on applied and empirical research. It aims to provide a stimulating environment for presenting ongoing work, exchanging ideas, and receiving feedback from leading scholars and peers. All selected contributions will be presented in plenary sessions to maximise participant involvement, discussion, and interaction.

• Anna Papp (Massachusetts Institute of Technology – MIT)

Call for Papers

Researchers are invited to submit a full paper or an extended abstract by 6 July 2026.

Participation Costs

There is no participation fee. Selected speakers (up to a maximum of 14) will receive up to two nights of accommodation and meals, including participation in the social dinner.
