The SEEDS Annual Conference 2025, set to take place from May 28-30 at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan (Italy), is a flagship event fostering the intersection of sustainability and environmental economics studies.

The Conference

Hosting the conference at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore holds both symbolic and strategic significance. As a leading institution with a strong focus on ethical and sustainable development, the University provides an ideal environment for discussions on sustainability, emphasizing the integration of economic, social, and environmental dimensions. Milan, a hub of innovation and policy-making, further enhances the conference’s impact by connecting research with real-world applications, aligning with SEEDS’ mission to bridge academia and practice.

Designed for a diverse audience—including PhD students, academics, policymakers, and practitioners—the conference serves as a dynamic forum for exchanging ideas and advancing the frontiers of ecological and environmental economics. It provides an unparalleled opportunity for networking, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration among individuals dedicated to sustainability. The conference is focused on environmental and natural resource economics, but not just limited to economics. Other fields of social sciences are very welcome.

Participants at any stage of their research careers are invited to present and share their inter and multi-disciplinary research papers (even at preliminary stages) within and beyond social sciences. Young researchers (PhDs, Postdocs or early career researchers) are very welcome.
