27th Global Conference on Environmental Taxation (GCET27)
The 27th Global Conference on Environmental Taxation (GCET27) will take place from 14 to 16 September 2026 in Berlin, Germany, hosted by the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK).
GCET is a long-standing international conference series dedicated to environmental taxation and market-based policy instruments, bringing together leading researchers, policymakers, and practitioners from around the world.
Conference Theme
The 2026 edition focuses on:
“Fiscal Instruments for International Climate Action”
The conference explores how fiscal and market-based instruments—such as carbon pricing, subsidy reform, and internationally coordinated levies—can support effective and equitable climate action aligned with the Paris Agreement.
