WCERE 2018

The WCERE 2018 - 6th World Congress of Environmental and Resources Economists will take place from the 25th to the 29th of June 2018 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Read the article highlighting this year's event on GGKP, written by Ben Groom, the EAERE representative on the WCERE18 Scientific Programme Committee, and Thomas Sterner, Chair of the Local Organizing committee.

This year WCERE will truly be a world congress, thanks to generous travel grants. Almost 100 researchers from lower- and middle-income countries will receive Sida, IDRC and EAERE-funded travel grants to participate in WCERE2018, vastly enriching the international scope of the congress program.

Take a look at the Program Ovierview and register to attend.

EAERE-FEEM-VIU European Summer School

The EAERE-FEEM-VIU European Summer School: "Climate Change Assessment: Economic Models and Evaluation Criteria" runs from June 30th to July 6th 2018 at the VIU campus on the Island of San Servolo, in Venice, Italy.

The objective of the 2018 School is to provide students with a broad understanding of the theory and practice of welfare assessment of economic climate change models, and more generally in the evaluation of long-term environmental economic problems. It will focus on two different perspectives: (i) how to construct analytical and numerical climate change models; and (ii) how to design appealing welfare criteria for climate change assessment.
