The EAERE Award for Outstanding Publication in the Journal Environmental and Resource Economics (ERE), recognizes exemplary research published in ERE during the past year.
The Award is given annually and announced at the EAERE Annual Conference.
The 2012 award for the best paper published in 2011 was given to:
Travis Warziniack, David Finnoff, Jonathan Bossenbroek, Jason F. Shogren and David Lodge, for their paper
Stepping Stones for Biological Invasion: A Bioeconomic Model of Transferable Risk
Environmental and Resource Economics, Volume 50, Number 4, 605-627, DOI: 10.1007/s10640-011-9485-7
Motivation: This was a superb paper uniting a diversity of insights drawn from multiple disciplines to show how economics can address a major environmental issue in a sophisticated manner.
Thanks to the kind support of the Journal publisher, Springer, in 2012 winners were awarded with Springer books vouchers to the value of EUR 550 and a cash amount of EUR 750, to be divded equally between co-authors.
The 2012 Award Selection committe, comprised of: Ian Bateman (chair), Hassan Benchekroun and Christian A. Vossler, recognises also the excellence of these papers.
Any article published in ERE during the preceding year is eligible for this award. There is no requirement that the author(s) be a member of EAERE.
